![]() ![]() If I did it as I should have, then it sadly doesn't work, emulator doesn't even recognize it as a game (ticking off direct boot shows there's no "cartridge" in). If you can use a hex editor, you need to change the 4 bytes at offset 0xC (the first two bytes should be IR before the edit) to CPUD (that's the game code of Pokemon Platinum it doesn't have IR, but I'm pretty sure it uses the same save type as B/W). I am however interested in how to change the game code? I'd love to see if that's the correct workaround. Rom seems to also weight exact same as the original game, although I am a complete greenhorn, so I don't know. "clearly you need to mow more lawns and buy a better pc" - Hydr8gonĬould be, the problem in this one is a bit different since they at least get to New Game screen, for me it's dead on arrival, no errors, no prompts, nothing, just white screen. I have no idea if there's any workaround or setting that can help, I can't find anything about it, also not sure if it's just my system or pc. ![]() But it seems like those hacks did work previously, as I've seen at least one topic about some minor graphical glitches in the game. I fidgeted with settings, I got both the official release and compiled the latest possible version of melonDS, tried pre-patched rom and patched my own game, neither works no matter what. So these two hacks (haven't tested their sequels or any other hack yet, gonna edit once I do), do not boot at all, they just give a white screen.
